Google
Android Inches Ahead Of Apple's iPhone
Smartphones
that use Google's Android operating system have outsold Apple's iPhone
for the first time in the US.
Blackberry
phone maker Research in Motion, kept the number one spot with a 36%
smartphone market share. Google Android phones accounted for 28% of
sales and iPhones for 21% in the first three months of the year.

Mozilla
sets Firefox 4 release for November
Mozilla is
planning to ship a Beta version of Firefox 4 next month and the final
version by the end of November.
Mike
Beltzner, who is the director of Firefox, gave a presentation and
showed not only the timeline for the next major upgrade but also
outlined the new features, changes and technology enhancements in
which the company hopes to feature into the browser.

Microsoft Office 2010 takes aim at Google Docs
Microsoft
has revealed its latest weapon in the ongoing battle with Google. The
software giant has launched its flagship product Office 2010, aimed at
businesses and home users. The latest version of the software has a
free online version called Office Web Apps.
Analysts
believe the online version is a response to Google's 'Docs'. Microsoft
will also offer its online office suite to all users of one of the
world's most popular social networking sites, Facebook.

Internet approaches addressing limit
A report
shows that in less than 18 months time, there will be no more Internet
addresses to give out. 9th September 2011 is the predicted date to
which the last addresses will be left to use.
Everything
that is connected to the Internet needs an 'IP address' to ensure data
reaches the right person or device.
Experts say
that the net's entire existing address space will be exhausted about a
year after that date.
