The Small Business Service (SBS) is part of the DTI.
The SBS was set-up to help
business start-ups
and nurture Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME) development in the UK.
This project’s aim was to create a sophisticated online search
application that would allow the Government's Business Support
Agencies to search a database of Accredited Consultants and create
shortlists from which qualified suppliers could
be sourced.
This search facility was designed to have the ability, via
specialised criteria, to refine results which in turn produced
accurate Consultant shortlists, from which detailed CVs could be
obtained.
